Venture Hope gives college materials to Lane County pupils in need

Heading back to faculty, particularly these times, is simpler with a minor assist.

The Project Hope Again-to-University Giveaway, now in its 11th year, kicked off at two Lane County schools Saturday. The two-day event provides thousands of schoolchildren with some of the essential outfits and materials they want to return to class for a new 12 months.

Pupils from 4J, Springfield, Bethel and Junction Metropolis faculty districts are picked to take part.

“These college students may possibly have financial barriers that other college students do not,” explained Patti Buss, software director for the nearby Christian company group 1 Hope. “They may possibly be ready to get university provides, but might not be receiving new shoes for the calendar year.”

Just one Hope organizes Project Hope.
